Our eco-responsible holiday rental nestled in the green heart of the Lot, a stone's throw from Saint-Céré, opens its doors to you for an unforgettable getaway. Imagine yourself in a 100 m2 rural gîte, with 4 rooms and 2 bedrooms, immersed in the heart of nature and the rich heritage of the Dordogne valley. Le Cun is the haven of peace you've been looking for!
The Gite le Cun: A Unique Charm Our gîte is a traditional house in the Lot region, built using local materials and respecting the environment. Its unique architecture, with its gently sloping roof and thick stone walls, blends in perfectly with the surrounding landscape. Inside, you'll discover a warm and welcoming interior, with exposed beams, wooden floors, a large stone fireplace called a Cantou, typical of the Lot region, and a wood-burning stove for enjoyment and/or to complement the pellet-fired central heating system. It all adds up to a cosy, rustic atmosphere. For the extension part of the house, very thick hemp walls have been built, making the house very well insulated in winter and keeping it cool in summer, eliminating the need for air conditioning.
The house is surrounded by a large garden of 2 hectares 800 m2 where you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views over the valley. For those who like to cook, the gîte has a fully equipped kitchen, where you can prepare delicious meals using local produce. In addition, our gîte has a large bolet, typical of the region and an uncovered terrace, ideal for enjoying the outdoors.
From our gîte, you can explore the treasures of the Dordogne valley. You're close to some of the most beautiful villages in France Rocamadour, Loubressac, Autoire, Carennac, Martel, Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, and Collonges-la-Rouge. You can also historic castles such as the Towers of Saint-Laurent, Castelnau-Bretenoux and Montal. Lovers of outdoor hiking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, everything is possible! And for golf enthusiasts, the Montal Golf Club is just only 7 km away.
